Hello, my name is Ciarra. I am now a mother of two.  When I found out I was pregnant again with my second child I immediately start thinking of ways to avoid being induced. My first birthing experience wasn’t what I imagined. The problem was I lacked resources and someone to guide me through.

Partnering up with Sonya changed my whole outlook on pregnancy. It made me excited to have someone to call when I had questions. She made me feel that I could do anything. During my pregnancy she sent me videos and a lot of information to help take some of those uneasy feelings away. She did in home sessions to get to know me and what was comfort to me.

She even taught my partner how to be there and actively listen in that moment. Guided him how to be my voice in case I couldn’t speak or take up for myself. Things went so great that I went into labor on my own. Within a week I went from not being dilated to being 6cm at my follow up appointment.

On delivery day I was very confident and felt fully supported. Sonya encouraged me and pushed me to go as far as I could and I felt good about the outcome. Postpartum she kept in touch and ensured I didn’t need for a thing.  My family and I are forever in her debt. Thank you for being the best doula a girl could wish for.

Ms. Sonya did an absolutely phenomenal job as my doula!

I became pregnant with my first child in fall of 2021 and she was very helpful and resourceful from the beginning. When we couldn’t get together for an in-person class, she went out of her way to give the class virtually.

With the birthing process being a new experience for me, she was a great help remaining calm and level-headed. I thought that it was exceptional that she also engaged my husband throughout the process and made sure that we knew how to function as a unit. As hectic as things go with the hospital, Ms. Sonya kept us grounded and well informed.

I highly recommend her services for anyone preparing to give birth (especially first-time parents!).

It also helps that she is my lovely mother 😉.
